“Every Christian’s life is marked by windows of opportunity that demand you take a radical step of faith in order to follow God and fulfill His purposes for your life. And what makes that step radical is that it always involves significant risk. Where there is no risk, there is no faith.”

We have reached a critical juncture as a congregation. Our history is filled with thousands, if not tens of thousands of stories from people whose lives have been impacted by what God has done through our church. We believe our time is now! There is not a better time than the present to seize the moment and take action. Today we boldly declare as a faith community, “WE STAND FOR CROSS THE STREET!”
The good news is that we’re in a very favorable position. We don’t have to send spies into the land like Israel did to verify that the land God promised them actually exists. We can see our future from our existing site. Our future is right across the street!
We don’t need to go searching in other parts of the city for a new parcel of land. We tried to move away from this community years ago only for God to send us right back to 26th Place and McDowell to buy land and build for the future. Our future is right across the street!
There is a giant in the land. There is a giant attempting to tell our church, “Your future is not possible. You’re too small. The project is too big. You won’t have enough buy in. You don’t have what it takes to do anything of this magnitude.” But we declare, “With men it is impossible, but not with God, for with God, all things are possible!” Like David, we will praise God forever for what He has done. We launch this campaign not hoping God will do something. We launch this campaign believing that He already has.
We trust Him to release His provision. We trust Him to do miraculous things. We trust Him to touch the hearts of people in our church and outside of our church. Let’s do it for the future. Let’s do it for this community. Let’s do it to change lives. Let’s do it faster than we planned it. Most importantly, let’s do it together. Let’s walk across the street!

The vision is not just for me, the vision is for us. Vision is time sensitive, so when an assembly is convened, that assembly needs to have a sense of urgency about seeing the vision come to pass.
